Born in Kuala
Lumpur in 1946, famous artist Tham Siew Inn has been active
in Malaysia art scene for more than four decades. He helped
founded and served as President and/or Vice President in
Klang Artist Society, Malaysian Watercolour Society, and
Malaysian Watercolour Organization. He was awarded Malaysia
Watercolour Society Award in 1986 and Silver Award in
HongKong Bank “Natural Malaysia” competition in 1991.
Tham explored
over 40 countries across 4 continents in search of new
direction in his artistic development. While researching for
new possibilities and experimenting with different
approaches, he always infuses new vigor into his paintings.
Participating in numerous exhibitions, his paintings have
been seen in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong,
Taiwan, China, Japan, Korea, India, Germany, Belgium,
Sweden, Australia, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, and even on board
the Orient Rio Ocean-Liner in the middle of Pacific Ocean.
譚紹賢，1946年出生于吉隆坡，本地知名畫家，在畫壇上活躍超过40年，曾經参与組織吧生藝術協會、馬來西亞水彩畫會及馬來西亞水彩畫家協會并擔任正副主席之職。并且曾于1986年获得馬來西亞藝術協會獎及1991年香港銀行举办的“自然馬来西亚”競賽銀獎。
为于藝術境界上寻求突破，譚氏毅然踏上环游世界的旅程，他造訪世上超過40個國家，橫跨4大洲，這段旅程使他的視野開闊了，對事物有了更全面的觀點，對藝術也有了更高層次的追求。即使是在回國后，他對藝術境界的探索及在技術上的追求，也是毫不止息的。
曾辦過國內外舉辦多達9次的個展并參與無數次的聯展，譚紹賢的作品曾在新加坡、印尼、泰國、香港、臺灣、中國、日本、韓國、印度、德國、比利時、瑞典、澳洲、巴西、玻利維亞、秘魯甚至在橫渡太平洋的郵輪上展出。 |
